Rush is one of the highest lakes in the world. Also Known as A pearl of Karakorum. Rush Lake, Nagar Valley is a high altitude lake located near Rush Pari Peak (5,098 m). It is located about 15 km north of Miar Peak (in the Nagar valley) and Spantik (Golden Peak).
Rush Lake is a wonderful and high altitude lake of Pakistan which lies in the magnificent mountain range of Karakorum. You can Reach Rush Lake and Rush Peak via Nagar and Hopar and via the Hopar Glacier and Miar Glacier, which raises from Miar and Phuparash peaks. The trek to Rush Lake provides fantastic views of Spantik, Malubiting, Miar Peak, Phuparash Peak and Ultar Sar Nagar Valley, Gilgit Blatistan, Pakistan.

Rush Lake trek is a rather easy but well satisfying trek in the heart of the Hunza valley Pakistan. You will be crossing glaciers, meadows and terraced fields of Karakoram.
We can see K2 along with the other high peaks of the Karakoram from here. This is a short trek you will start by driving by Jeep across the Hunza river at Hoper. This is where the snout of the famous Barpu glacier meets another glacier called Bualtar. Hunzakuts (local people from Hunza) believe that glaciers are either male or female. Each glacier exudes its own gender qualities and when a male and female glacier meets they give birth to a baby glacier.

This trek will take you to the wonderful Karakorum Mountains clusters the best on earth. A jeep track takes the tourists to Rush Peak via Nagar. Only jeep can pass through this road at a time and the drivers are quite trained. Most of the year time the peak is covered with snow and is accessible only in summers.
Precautions:
It is preferable that you must take meals from Nagar and Hopar bazaar along with. Due to a unkind weather during winter, most herdsmen stay at the meadows only during summers. Must take your Jackets and Sweaters and the most important thing is Jogger Shoes.
