Wales vs Iran: Preview
Friday’s FIFA 2022 World Cup Group B match between Wales and Iran will take place at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
Monday saw Wales’ first campaign match against the United States. Once again, Gareth Bale came to Wales’ rescue by scoring the equalising goal from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute of play. Timothy Weah gave the USA the lead in the 36th minute, but Wales was able to salvage a draw for the game thanks to a decline in performance in the second half.
In their opening game of the season against England, Iran was crushed 6-2. Mehdi Taremi, a striker for Porto, scored a brace in the second half to rescue his team’s reputation. Later on Friday, England and the USA will square off in the other Group H match. It’s possible that the Americans and English will split the winnings in that game if it’s a tight one. In light of this, Wales has a decent chance to triumph here and make a significant advancement in clinching a group qualifying berth.
