With a target of 104, Pakistan openers Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman forged an 84-run opening wicket partnership to help Pakistan secure their second whitewash against Sri lanka. Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, only Thisara Perera, Lahiri Thirimanne, Seekuge Prasanna and Dushmantha Chameera managed to reach double figures. Usman finished with 5/34 as the visitors failed to recover from early jolts. Sri Lanka’s total of 103 is now their second lowest total in an ODI against Pakistan. Their lowest total of 78 had also come at Sharjah in 2002.

Toss report:

Sri Lankan captain Upul Tharanga won the toss and opted to bat as Pakistan looked for a whitewash of the series with a win in the fifth and final match in Sharjah on Monday.
